Atelier Meruru Delayed!!!

Just a quick update cause i’m quite busy with work for these few weeks, NISA has announced that they will be delaying the shipment and official release of Atelier Meruru from the expected date of 22nd May to a later date on the 29th. It is only a four days difference so please do not feel disheartened. . . and i am sorry for being so late with this news =.=|’| i had actually know about it for some time . . . just that i couldn’t find the time to post it here ~.~

That’s it for now . . . back to work for me >.<|’|

P.S. i started playing League of Legends =P still kinda noob at it but i will get better . . . eventually XD

Atelier Meruru Preorder starts!!!

As the title says, Atelier Meruru’s preorder has started on NISA’s online shop, do head on down to their website here and have a look at their special preorder package which includes a few special goodies =)

Also, NISA has announced the localizing of 2 JRPG games, The Witch and the Hundered Knights and Mugen Souls.

As a JRPG fan, i would say that both games looks promising and should be worth a try.

Now back to unpacking my luggage =P

No.1 Game to look out for this year

This year . . . is gonna be an awesome year as there are many new game releases that I personally am looking forward to.

My most highly anticipated game for this year is the release of an english port for Atelier Meruru!

I am a total fan of Gust Co.’s games and this is one of the series that i enjoy playing the most.

Atelier Meruru is the third and FINAL installment in the Arland series and the game is only available on the PS3. The series starts off with Atelier Rorona, followed by Atelier Totori and ends of with Atelier Meruru. I was actually surprised by how fast NISA actually pushed off the english port for Meruru as i had a 2year wait between Rorona and Totori while the wait between Totori and Meruru was only 1year =O

Item synthesis remains as part of the core gameplay elements, Gust has added more versatility to item alchemy which requires the player to have more patience to craft the item. It is a good and bad on this aspect as it can be tiring to get the item.

Items can be obtained from gathering “points” and monsters found throughout the field

Battles in the game are similar to Atelier Totori and Rorona where three of your characters will battle in a card-based turn-by-turn fights. Your characters gain new skills through leveling and sometimes skills can be earned by completing the character’s event. Each character have their own unique skill sets and a special move which can only be used after fulfilling certain requirements.

And of course for every game, there will always be a favorite character, in my opinion the character i like best in this series is . . . STERK!!!! He has made his appearance in all three of the series and you can tell from the art that he has certainly aged quite a bit since the first series.

Sterk’s look throughout the three series. From the left is Rorona, Totori and Meruru.

Sterk is a knight working under the King of Arland in Atelier Rorona and he was very close with Rorona and her teacher. However, in Atelier Totori, the king suddenly ran off from his throne and Sterk went on a journey to search for the king. Along the way he met Totori and her childhood friend. In the end he took on Totori’s childhood friend as his disciple and trained him. I haven’t played Atelier Meruru yet so i still do not know of his background story for the third installment but i am definitely looking forward to it.

Because of my excitement in anticipation for the release of the game, i bought the artbook for the compilation of the Arland series. I must say that i was impressed with the artbook and spent a whole day just lying down on my bed admiring the artworks.

And that is all for me for today. I do hope that people would try this series after reading what i wrote cause i want more and more people to know about this series and spread the love!!!
