Gamescom Updates!!!

Been some time since I did a update and since it’s GamesCom . . . Here I am with updates on certain interesting games out there.

First up . . . This one is definitely turning into something awesome to look forward to . . . Devil May Cry DmC!!!

It has been a very long time since the day Capcom first announced that they will be doing a collaboration with Ninja Theory for this reboot of the Devil May Cry series. I still remember how many fans of the series were outraged by the decision and how a lot of us were uncertain on how the game will turn out. Trailer for Gamescom below. . . enjoy XD

Time passed and now Devil May Cry DmC is nearing it’s release date slowly but steadily and Ninja Theory is coming up with more and more trailers. Story wise, they have done a lot of minor changes here and there, some major changes for the character profiles. Some examples are like how Dante is half demon, half angel instead of the original half demon, half human profile that was given to him by Capcom many years back. Another important change in my opinion, is how Vergil now is the founder of an organization called The Order and works with Dante to take revenge on the demons (or so I assume from the trailer). VERGIL!!! I was quite surprised that they would include Vergil in this game and he looks almost the same as how he was in DmC3 except for his outfit. Hopefully he will be just as awesome =3.

Devil May Cry DmC is looking promising and it is definitely in my Must Buy List. DmC is stated for release on 15th Jan 2013.

Next up, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. Kojima’s bold action of steering away from the usual tactical stealth shooter to a action hack ‘n’ slash game has turned into something worth keeping an eye out for.

Those of you who have played and/or are fans of the MGS series will be familiar with Raiden, the main character for this game. In a nutshell, players will play as Raiden and go around slashing your foes with your sword in style. Trailer for GamesCom below.

Notice from 03:18 onwards, there’s this robot dog which was out to kill Raiden and later on became his pet? I personally am looking forward to how the dog can help out with combat.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is stated for release on 21st Feb 2013.

This third game is more for my personal guilty pleasure XD Introducing . . . Sleeping Dogs!!! This game is set in Hong Kong and you play as Wei Shen, a Chinese-American undercover cop who is tasked to infiltrate a triad gang organization called “Sun On Yee” (apparently it’s referenced to a real-life triad gang). Lots of martial arts, gunfights, and fights filled with epic explosions. . . all of it while you live out a typical life in a Hong Kong drama.

Trailer for GamesCom below.

Personally, I am enjoying watching the trailers for this game cause it keeps reminding me of old Hong Kong films and epic actors like Chow Yun Fat, with all the Hong Kong drama actions and the gunfights . . . Sleeping Dogs is definitely one of those games that can satisfy my guilty pleasure =P

Sleeping Dogs is stated for release on 17 August 2012 (which is today).

And that is it for the games segment. I’m thinking of doing a section for some anime news . . . but I’ll just take some time to consider about it first mkay? This is all from me, hope you’ve enjoyed reading this post. ^^

(now back to watching LOL EU Regional matches XD)

The calm before the storm . . .

Yosh, some of you might be wondering why I have been inactive for such a long time . . . well there were several reasons but the main reason is because I went to JAPAN!!!!

My trip to Japan this time was simply fantastic =3 I was able to attend Mizuki Nana’s live union at Osaka-jo, was able to catch Mahou Shojo Lyrical Nanoha Movie 2nd on theaters, and I was also able to run around Akihabara and dig up several treasures LOL!!! So this trip to Japan was definitely worth the time and money if I do say so myself =P

And then after coming back from Japan . . . I was swarmed with various stuff and was kept EXTREMELY busy till today  ( = o =)|’|

Well now I shall post a little bit of everything so . . . BE PREPARED FOR FLOODING OF INFORMATION!!!!

First up is . . . SWORD ART ONLINE!!!!!

Even though it’s called Sword Art Online, it is not a game . . . In fact, it is a light novel and it also has an anime series that is airing this season.

After reading the light novel, I felt that it was very interesting and was able to make me look forward to what happens next every single time.

Th story is about a whole group of people being trapped in a Virtual Reality MMO and were forced to live in the game while trying to survive as dying in the game would result in their death in reality.

The anime itself has been doing quite well and for now the only thing I am unhappy about is the fact that they sped through alot of events. However, they were able to make the story flow smoothly so I shall forgive them for that =P

EVERYONE!!! PLEASE TAKE OUT SOME TIME TO READ AND/OR WATCH SWORD ART ONLINE!!! YOU WILL DEFINITELY NOT REGRET IT!!!

Next up is updates on some games.

Guild Wars 2 has finished their beta testing (I am still quite sad at the fact that I wasn’t able to participate in the final weekend beta event due to my Japan trip T_T) and now they are getting ready to release the game.

The game itself will launch on 28/8/2012 so everyone who is waiting . . . IT IS FINALLY ARRIVING!!!

And then, there’s news of Star Wars: The Old Republic making a bold move by changing their game to a Free to play model.  For those of you who are fans of Star Wars this is good news for you. However, if you have absolutely no interest in the Star Wars franchise then I would STRONGLY DISCOURAGE you from trying this game as the only selling point of the game is the story and environment. The battle system and such are the standard MMO model so there is nothing new or exciting to make you want to play it.

Lastly, Final Fantasy XIV has an official website and trailer out already. The site is over here. From the trailer itself, it seems that Square Enix has realized what went wrong with the first release and it is starting to look promising . . . But lets give them more time to release more details before we even decide if it is worth playing or not shall we~

Well that’s all from me for now . . . look forward to my next post okay? XD
